GAIN Business Alliance Global Forum - GROWING GAIN 6-7 May 2008, Brussels
“Growing GAIN” addressed how to deliver inclusive and sustainable business solutions that
improve nutrition, and create a deeper understanding on what the main investment hurdles
and constraints are in fighting malnutrition at the global and local level.
The 2nd Forum of the GAIN Business Alliance was co-organized with the World Bank Institute
(WBI), and brought together over 100 business leaders from across the food supply chain,
together with experts from European Union and
international agencies, academia and government. The
Forum’s theme of growing GAIN – growing understanding
of the malnutrition problem, growing the market for
business to invest, growing cross-sector partnerships and
resources targeting innovative and sustainable solutions –
provided a focus for the discussions.
