BUSINESS SEEKING SOLUTIONS TO THE FIGHT AGAINST MALNUTRITION

From 25-26 May 2010 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) hosted the 4th GAIN Business Alliance Global Forum, “GAIN Insight”, with the presence of Her Excellency Reem Al-Hashimy, State Minister in the Cabinet of the UAE and Chairperson of Dubai Cares. More than 150 participants representing business, government, donors, and international organizations came together to discuss the tangible means in which the private sector, in partnership with relevant stakeholders, can become more involved in the fight against malnutrition globally, and in particular in the Middle East and North Africa. The Forum, moderated by John Defterios, host of CNN Marketplace Middle East, also marked the fifth anniversary of the GAIN Business Alliance, a rapidly expanding global business network dedicated to promoting market-based solutions which address malnutrition.
